Wildbrain CPLG Adds Sesame Workshop Representation in Nordics

WildBrain CPLG, a trusted licensing partner for leading brands worldwide, is expanding its relationship with Sesame Workshop to represent the iconic Sesame Street brand in the Nordics (Norway, Sweden, Finland and Iceland). The new representation builds on a successful existing partnership in Iberia, where WildBrain CPLG has signed a range of new licensees.
The extended relationship follows the recent news that Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby and all their friends are coming to Netflix later this year, with an all-new reimagined 56th season of Sesame Street, plus 90 hours of previous episodes—available to audiences worldwide. The new season will feature fresh format changes, and the return of fan-favourite segments like Elmo’s World and Cookie Monster’s Foodie Truck.
Pau Pascual, SVP, Commercial, the U.K., Europe and the Americas, WildBrain CPLG, said: “Our thriving partnership with Sesame Workshop in Iberia has led to some strong licensing collaborations rolling out at retail this year for Sesame Street, and we’re hugely excited to extend our representation to the Nordics. With the new Sesame Street series coming to Netflix, our licensing programme will build on the excitement amongst fans and families across both regions.”
Sonja Thernes, Director of Consumer Products Europe for Sesame Workshop Europe, added: “We are delighted with this new partnership with WildBrain CPLG and to bring our beloved Sesame Street characters to the rapidly growing Nordics market. With our expanded distribution footprint reaching more children and families than ever before, this is the perfect moment to align forces, and WildBrain CPLG’s track record with the brand and its strong expertise in the region make them the perfect partner for us.”
New licensees in Iberia
New Sesame Street consumer products partnerships, brokered by WildBrain CPLG, include collaborations with multiple fashion partners in Iberia, that launched at the end of 2024 and in early 2025. ZARA has unveiled a kids’ apparel collection, featuring designs that showcase fan favourite character Cookie Monster. Springfield has launched a men’s nightwear collection featuring pyjama sets, socks and a stylish fleece jacket, while Women’s Secret has also rolled out a nightwear collection including pyjama sets, slippers and a nightwear bag. Besocks’ new collection of high-quality socks features Cookie Monster and Bert and Ernie.
In further collaborations for Iberia, Karactermania is on board for a colourful bag collection set to launch at the end of 2025 and into early 2026, while Comic Studio will roll out a new apparel line featuring t-shirts, tank tops and shorts in spring/summer 2026. Lefties, Somerbond and Sfera at El Corte Ingles, will also launch new collections in 2025. Grupo Erik’s creative homewares collection, which includes Cookie Monster and Elmo, and My Other Me’s line of dress-up for children and adults, continue to be popular with fans in the region.
