Poetic Brands received a Care Bears license to design, manufacture, and distribute apparel and accessories for the UK market. The licence was awarded by Bulldog Licensing, which manages licensing for Care Bears in the UK on behalf of brand owner Cloudco.
Poetic Brands is bringing Care Bears to babywear and accessories, maternity wear, family apparel, footwear, and luggage. Using the extensive brand style guides Poetic will bring the colours an warmth of this delightful brand to a wide-ranging collection that will be available at retailers across the UK in 2024.
This is a major agreement for Poetic, bringing together an iconic brand with Poetic’s ethically sourced lifestyle collections.
The UK is among the fastest-growing markets for Care Bears. Sales continue to be phenomenally strong across high street, grocery, and fashion and Poetic Brands’ new range is bound to be welcomed by fans of all ages.
Care Bears was first created in 1982 and celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2022 with astonishing levels of growth. This is undoubtedly down to the clear and understandable associations of the brand. Indeed, Care Bears have grown through various looks and styles, but the rainbow colours, main characters, and unique belly badges, along with the core messages of inclusivity, kindness and caring, remain the same.
Importantly, Care Bears is not exclusively for little ones. It appeals to the whole family, from toddlers and young children to adults who have cherished memories of Care Bears from their own childhood.
