In 2026, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone marks its 25th anniversary, celebrating a quarter of a century since the film first captivated audiences and launched one of the most iconic franchises in cinematic history. Originally released on 16 November 2001, the film laid the foundation for a global entertainment phenomenon.

To honour this milestone, Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products (WBDGCP) will roll out a year-long celebration across all divisions. A specially designed 25th Anniversary logo - evoking the silvery glow of the Patronus and highlighting 25 years of magic - will feature prominently across new and existing product lines, engaging retail activations, and fan-focused campaigns.

  • Digital and in-person activations aligned with key franchise moments, including Butterbeer Season (March–May), Harry Potter’s Birthday (July), Back to Hogwarts (August–September), and Christmas in the wizarding world

Fans will be at the heart of every initiative, with opportunities to engage through curated merchandise, interactive events, and digital partnerships.

The Harry Potter universe continues to enchant millions, with over 600 million books sold in more than 85 languages, $7.7 billion in global box office revenue across eight Harry Potter films and three Fantastic Beasts titles, plus an award-winning stage-play in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, mobile and video games, themed lands, location based- experiences, and a robust global consumer products programme.

This anniversary not only celebrates the legacy of the original film but also introduces the magic to a new generation, setting the stage for the highly anticipated Harry Potter HBO Original TV series, produced in association with Brontë Film and TV and Warner Bros. Television, premiering in 2027 and currently in production at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden.
