Art Ask Agency Signs Deal Between Frida Kahlo Corporation and MoEa for Sustainable Footwear Collaboration
Barcelona-based licensing specialist Art Ask Agency is proud to announce a new agreement between the Frida Kahlo Corporation and MoEa, an award-winning sustainable sneaker brand, for an exclusive Spring/Summer 2025 (SS25) product launch. The collaboration brings to life a striking line of eco-conscious sneakers inspired by the artistry and identity of Frida Kahlo, one of the world’s most iconic cultural figures.
Founded in 2021, MoEa—short for Mother Earth—has quickly earned a name in the fashion industry for creating bold and innovative sneakers using recycled and plant-based materials. With presence in over 230 retail stores across Europe and a growing direct-to-consumer online platform, MoEa is redefining modern footwear by uniting urban style with climate responsibility.

The new Frida Kahlo x MoEa GEN1 collection is made using premium bio-based materials such as organic apple, grape, and corn leather. The vibrant color palette and symbolic details are directly inspired by Kahlo’s legendary aesthetic, offering wearers a unique opportunity to celebrate art, identity, and sustainability with every step. Though anchored in one silhouette—the GEN1 sneaker—the collection is carefully curated to reflect multiple facets of Kahlo’s legacy, giving it the feel of a broader lifestyle range.
The line is available to consumers from May 2025, launching in MoEa’s physical retail network and through its online flagship store.
“Frida Kahlo is more than an artist—she is a symbol of identity, resilience, and creative power,” added Maria Strid, owner of Art Ask Agency. “MoEa’s deep commitment to sustainability and design innovation made them the perfect partner for this collaboration.”
Frida Kahlo continues to captivate audiences worldwide—not just as an artist, but as a cultural icon whose influence spans fashion, feminism, and identity. The brand’s licensing program, managed by Art Ask Agency, has fostered collaborations across diverse categories including fashion, homeware, stationery, and now, sustainable footwear.
