Moonscoop Scores New Licensing Deals In Spain For Code Lyoko

Moonscoop, one of the leading worldwide distribution, brand management and entertainment companies, is following the broadcast success of its hit series Code Lyoko in Spain with a raft of key licensing deals. More than 20 brand new licensees have been signed in the past six months including a deal with Simba-Dickie Group Toys for the Master Toy license.

Simba will develop action toys, vehicles, arts & craft products, role toys, educative toys, collectables, electric and musical toys, wheel toys, promotional sets, summer toys, back to school products and costumes with product roll out set for Christmas 2010 and January 2011.

Further licensees on board in Spain include Creation Euromoda for bed linen, Claudio Reig for small toys, Passion Secret for apparel, Labo Vaza for lip balm and toothbrushes, Cefa Toys for cameras and laptop and Media Live for publishing and activity books, alongside a previous publishing deal with Atlantyca for a storybook quadrilogy.

In addition Moonscoop has awarded licenses shoes in Spain and Portugal to Boystoys/Giepool for shoes, printed balloons to Globolandia, bracelets and tattoos to Emax, CYP for drink and dinnerware, trading cards to Ensobrados Martorell and ARC for miscellaneous product.

The deals have been signed through Moonscoop’s appointed Spanish agency Enjoy, headed by Ruben Gil.

The series already has five licensees in Spain including Warner Home Entertainment, which sold over 25 thousand copies of the first two seasons on DVD, Cife (lucky bags), Smoby (PVC balls), Dracco (candy) and Emax (collectable cards and albums).

International hit Code Lyoko, produced by Moonscoop with France 3 and Canal J, is scoring excellent ratings in Spain, where it airs on Clan TVE and Cartoon Network with TVE also set to air the show on La 2 this year. The 97 x 26' show, which uses a dynamic mix of 2D and 3D animation, targets kids aged six and older and has sold to broadcasters all over the world.

Code Lyoko blends action, adventure and a swift pace with rich graphics and issues for today's kids. Our planet Earth and the parallel universe called Lyoko face the threat of annihilation. A super virus has infected the central processing units in X.A.N.A and only four kids can foil the mad computer's evil designs! Yumi, Ulrich, Odd and Jeremy lead doubles lives: ordinary students in their early teens by day as well as action heroes in the virtual digital world.
