Nickelodeon and Belgium based Studio 100 today announced plans to produce a new version of their hit European live-action series, House of Anubis, for a Fall 2010 premiere on Nickelodeon in the US, UK and Australia with additional territories launching at the beginning of 2011.

Originally made for Nickelodeon in Benelux, followed by a German version, the series follows eight students trying to solve a hidden mystery at an English boarding school while dealing with the highs and lows of their teenage years. The new version of the series, House of Anubis (working title) will serve Nick’s global audiences and is being produced in the UK by Lime Pictures.

“Since premiering on Nickelodeon in Benelux in 2006 and Germany in 2009, House of Anubis has been amongst our most successful series and we look forward to working with Studio 100 on bringing this incredibly unique and dynamic series to our audiences in the US and around the world,” commented Jules Borkent, Senior Vice President of Global Acquisitions and International Programming for Nickelodeon.

“The cooperation with Nickelodeon US is a new and important step in Studio 100’s plans to expand into the international market,” added Hans Bourlon, CEO of Studio 100.

House of Anubis is a large and imposing English manor house that dates back to 1900 and serves as the home to eight students going through their daily lives at school and dealing with challenges of love, friendship and growing up. A new resident, Nina, arrives from America and soon discovers that the house contains a hidden secret. As the group tries to unravel the house’s deep mysteries, it soon becomes clear that their lives will never be the same again.
