Studio100 Secures Spanish Licensees For Pre-School Character Bumba

Ahead of the Nuremberg Toy Fair, Belgian’s leading family entertainment group Studio100 has successfully secured several new licensees in Spain for its well known property Bumba.

Bumba is proving a huge hit in Spain following the incredible success of its first coloring and sticker book and the highly popular pre-school puppetry and CGI series broadcast on Canal Super3. Barcelona based Medialive has secured the publishing rights for a new Bumba coloring book and sticker book which will be launched in Spring 2010 followed by the first cardboard reading book for the Spanish territory in the Summer of 2010 respectively.

In addition Studio100 has also granted a license to ice cream makers MIO. To be launched and available in vanilla and strawberry flavors the ‘ice-cream on a stick’ also forms a musical flute.

Furthermore SAICA acquired the rights for swim and beach inflatables, sand and outdoor toys, arts and crafts and ‘back to school‘ products. These products will be exhibited at the Nuremberg Toy Fair and available in the Spring and Summer of 2010.

Targeted at 0 to 4 year olds Bumba is the number one pre-school brand and a multi- million dollar business in the Benelux With a continuously successful own merchandising range, Studio100 has sold amongst others hundreds of thousands Bumba plushes and has several long term licensing and promotional partners within Benelux and GAS countries under its belt. The company’s client portfolio includes Vtech, Clementoni and Proctor and Gamble.
