The hit pre-school property secures key license deals with Paper Projects and Elisabeth the Chef and looks forward to a BIG day out at Toy Fair 2010

Kindle Entertainment, the BAFTA nominated and award-winning independent production company, announce two new license deals for top rated CBeebies pre-school show, Big and Small. Character sticker packs by Paper Projects and celebration cakes from Elisabeth the Chef are key expansions for the long-term Big and Small licensing programme.

Joining the growing roster of licensees for Big and Small, Paper Projects will produce foiled sticker packs featuring the main characters from the hit show. The packs are scheduled to launch in store for April 2010. Leading supplier of cakes and desserts, Elisabeth the Chef will launch Big and Small celebration cakes for special occasions from late 2010.

These latest agreements for the hit pre-school property join a strong stable of licenses already secured across key product categories and major platforms, including toys, publishing, apparel, DVD, lunchware and interactive. Jumbo, the master toy licensee, will be showcasing Big and Small plush and a collection of puzzles at Toy Fair 2010 (Stand E40). Brand new products will also launch at the show including Big and Small Giant Playing Cards and Lotto Game. Licensee Little Star Creations will be exhibiting for the first time at Toy Fair 2010 displaying magnetic Big and Small gift height charts on Stand D16. The Big and Small character costume by Rainbow Productions will be on display at the Jumbo and Little Star Creations stands from 2:00pm on 26 January 2010.

In addition to the on-going licensing programme, Big and Small has proved its on-air popularity with children and parents across the UK and CBeebies, the BBC’s digital channel for under 6’s, has commissioned a new series of 26 episodes for the show. Featuring the voices of Lenny Henry and Imelda Staunton, the TV show aims to open children’s minds to a variety of outlooks on the world. Each story revolves around the comedy of Big and Small’s contrasting approaches to life, and so encourages young children to appreciate that people have many different ideas and opinions.

Anne Brogan, Founder and Director of Kindle Entertainment, comments; “Paper Projects and Elisabeth the Chef are leaders in their respective industries and are exciting additions to Big and Small’s long term licensing programme. We look forward to further developments in the forthcoming year and are confident 2010 is set to be an extremely strong year for the loveable characters of Big and Small.”
