Aykroyd & TDP and Smith and Brooks Join Expanding List of Dinosaur King Licensees

Dinosaur King, part of the 4Kids Entertainment, Inc (NYSE: KDE), brand portfolio, is building on its success in the UK and Ireland with the signing of two new licensees.

The new deals will see Aykroyd & TDP Licensing producing boys’ nightwear and underwear, whilst Smith and Brooks are on board with a range of apparel, including leisurewear and swimwear expected to launch for Spring/Summer 2010.

These newest partners join the growing roster of licensees in the UK which includes Vivid Imaginations for toys, Upper Deck for Trading Cards, Sega for video games, H Grossman for outdoor toys, Ensobrados for pogs and Pyramid Posters for posters, badge packs and key chains.

Dinosaur King is the popular animated series that chronicles the adventures of Max, Rex and Zoe, known as the ‘D Team’, who search the world for Dinosaur cards that have the power to bring dinosaurs back to life. The biggest challenge for the three young heroes is to find all the dinosaur cards before the villainous Alpha Gang get their hands on them.

The series currently airs on Jetix and GMTV Kids in the UK, where it has been ranked as the No.1 show across commercial multichannels. The series was also picked up by RTE2 in Ireland and debuted in February. E1 Entertainment released the first Dinosaur King DVD last month, which entered the DVD chart as the second highest new entry in the kids market.

“Following the strong toy debut from Vivid Imaginations earlier this year and impressive trading card sales from Upper Deck, Dinosaur King is attracting the interest of many licensees and retailers,” said Sandra Vauthier-Cellier, Managing Director, 4Kids Entertainment International. “Dinosaurs have timeless appeal and these new deals reflect the success of the brand in the UK and Ireland.”
