The intention of the cooperation that started in February 2005 was to benefit from each others strengths. In this way Simba Dickie profited from the experiences of Giochi Preziosi concerning the marketing of licences and the Italian company profited from Simba Dickie´s German customers base. The separation became necessary because of different future strategy directions of both companies. In many European markets SIMBA DICKIE GROUP and Giochi Preziosi now deal as competitors. That is the reason why there could hardly be possibilities of common strategies. The entire team of Giochi Preziosi Germany around managing director Manfred Holl will continue the business of the German distribution company as usual. It is expected that Giochi Preziosi Germany will move to new offices after toy fair 2009. Until then the company will stay at the headquarter of SIMBA DICKIE GROUP in Fürth |
