The Licensing Machine and SIC announce their agreement on Naruto and Fullmetal Alchimist animated series for Portugal.

The Licensing Machine , a new division of Panini UK, engaged in TV, Home Video, Promotional, Merchandise, Marketing and Licensing Services and SIC, the independent commercial TV channel broadcasting programs on five channels in Portugal - are pleased to announce the reached agreement on two of the hottest TV animated series of the moment for the Portuguese market: Naruto and FullMetal Alchemist.

Naruto will premiere on SIC Radical in the original uncut subtitled version in July 2008 and SIC will premiere then the children Portuguese version for the back to school this year.
FullMetal Alchemist is also on air later this year in an original subtitled version. Summer and back to school will see the arrival of the exciting anime series that have already conquered Asia, USA and Europe!

Naruto, a hyperactive, troublemaking class clown, has the worst grade of anyone at the Prestigious Ninja Academy, but he’s determined to someday be a respected warrior and leader of his village Naruto is unaware of a vital secret about himself – years ago, a demonic fox shaped monster with 9 tails devastated his country. The village leader sacrificed his own life to defeat the creature and sealed the monsters spirit in the belly of an orphaned newborn baby, thus saving the country. This infant grew up to be Naruto. Against all odds, he manages to graduate from the academy, and he begins his practical training in the ninja arts alongside assigned team-mates Sasuke and Sakura. The trio is sent out on perilous missions, full of excitement, adventure, laughs and tears. Can Naruto become a real Ninja, overcoming his cursed fate?

FullMetal Alchemist
The two Elric brothers, Edward and Alphonse, live with their mother in the village of Resembool. Their father, who left them when they were very small to go on a long and mysterious journey, was a talented alchemist and Ed and Al also began studying this fascinating science. The death of their mother, though, forced them to try something forbidden: to resurrect her using alchemy! Unfortunately for them, the transmutation goes wrong and Al loses his entire body, but his soul gets bonded to a suit of armor allowing him to remain among the living, while Ed has an arm and a leg torn off. So, the two brothers set off in search of the Philosopher’s Stone, a legendary object which is believed to make anything possible, even giving Al his body back and Ed his missing limbs back. A long adventure which will lead them to discover some shocking truths about their world, but also about their past and which will teach them the price of their own actions!
