Fans of the award-winning Little Princess preschool show and best-selling international picture books join their heroine and award-winning author and illustrator, Tony Ross, for a series of exclusive storytelling sessions taking place at retailers across the UK including John Lewis, on London’s Oxford Street on 30 May 2008 and the next confirmed date for character costume will be at Harrods 9 August 2008.
Renowned children´s brand management company TV-Loonland and Martin Yaffe International, the Master Toy Licensee for the BAFTA nominated preschool show Little Princess have enjoyed a successful launch in store of the first ever range of Little Princess toys this year. The Spring/Summer product lines have received strong retail distribution and retailers continue to report encouraging sell-through figures. Items from the Spring/Summer collection including beanies of character favourites Gilbert, Puss, Scruff and Little Princess; plush toys; Little Princess musical TV plus a range of inflatables and outdoor items including inflatable space hopper and an inflatable bouncy castle. The inflatable spray pool and a selection of wheeled toys inspired by hit TV show include the Nessie Stick horse are also available. This summer Little Princess will also be taking part in Milkshake Live tour along with a host of Milkshake’s hit children’s characters including Fifi and Bumble from Fifi and the Flowertots, Peppa and George from Peppa Pig, Noddy and Tessie Bear from Make Way for Noddy, Mr. Bump and Little Miss Daredevil from The Mr. Men Show and Rupert Bear. From 28 June to 30 August 2008, the national theatre tour will include 60 performances filled with singing and dancing at 15 venues around the country. Little Princess also has two royal appointments for charity this summer. She will join the Queen lookalike at the Great Ormonde Street Royal Garden Tea Party (21 June at Murray Hall, Essex) to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital and Haven House Hospice with approximately 200 children expected to attend. She will also make an appearance with Tony Ross at The Amazing Great Children’s Party (2 July at Battersea Park, London) in co-operation with The Variety Club of Great Britain. 6,000 disabled, disadvantaged, leukaemic and other seriously ill and deserving children (between the ages of 4 and 12) are invited to the party of a lifetime.
