The Looney Tunes Sportparty tours Germany!

Warner Bros. - April 2008

The Events promise Action, Fun and Games for Kids in ten Cities

After its huge success last year the Looney Tunes Sportparty will now tour the whole of Germany, starting May 10th at the Kidsfestival in Kiel. The Looney Tunes Sportparty is an initiative of Warner Bros. Consumer Products, the German Dance Teachers Association (ADTV), the BARMER Health Insurance Fund, the State Institute for Early Childhood Education (IFP) and of the “Diet and Physical Activity” Platform (peb).

Boomerang, the 24-hour cartoon channel, supports the Sportparty as its exclusive TV partner. There is no registration required to participate in the Looney Tunes Sportparty Tour – the kids can just hop into their favourite sports gear and get started.

In 2007 the Looney Tunes Sportparty already took place in over 500 elementary schools in Germany – a huge success. The events in the various cities will now offer the kids another chance to experience the exciting and action-packed Looney Tunes Obstacle Course. The party’s aim is to convey the joy of healthy exercise to children aged 6 to10 and consequently to advance their health and physical development. The kids will complete an elaborate obstacle course consisting of six different stations that challenge, among other things, their sense of balance, strength, speed, flexibility, endurance and team spirit.

The young athletes can look forward to a diverse programm full of fun and action. Whether the Sylvester Catwalk, the Road Runner Obstacle Course or the Speedy Gonzales Driving School: every station will be hosted by one of the Looney Tunes characters. For decades now the Looney Tunes have ranked among the most popular TV classics of the cartoon world and are still beloved by the young and the old. Bugs Bunny, Sylvester, Tweety, Speedy Gonzales or Daffy Duck – the popular comic heroes are cool, clever and always in action. They fascinate and entertain kids with their jokey and speedy style and are therefore perfect partners to inspire children to do more exercise while at the same time having lots of fun.
