Pokémon Toys growing in Germany

Demand for Pokémon toys has never been higher in Germany with a growth of 34% in 2020 from the previous year, and looks set to increase even further as ever more licensees join the Pokémon adventure.

Master Toy distributor Bot-I has seen surging sales for an extended range of innovative new products across plush, figurines and playsets and there are two TV commercials due to be aired this year.

Popular items included the must-have Pokémon Carry Case Playset, an iconic backpack which folds out to allow players to take the adventure with them; My Partner Eevee, which comes alive through its built-in microphone and touch-sensor technology.

Ravensburger’s puzzles come in a variety of combinations for all, from the simple through 3-D to the ultra-fiendish. Mattel Mega Construx features favourite Pokémon characters in a range of immersive construction toys which provide build-and-play experiences to help children develop creativity and problem-solving skills.

The fun and funky, highly collectible Funko Pop figures saw exclusive ranges launched at retail in Germany.

Pokémon has been increasing its in-store activations in Germany at major chains such as Müller, and in its 25th anniversary year additional exciting retail activity includes another Funko figures exclusive at Smyths Toys this spring and further promotions for cross category toys and TCG.
