Universal Pictures releases the German DVD edition of Barbie™ as Island Princess on September 20th, 2007.

The Story
The little girl Rosella™ (Barbie™) survives a shipwreck and strands on a desert island. Here she grows up with caring animals and even learns their language. Tallulah™ the white monkey, Sagi™ the red panda, Azul™ the peacock, and Tika™ the elephant become her best friends. Years later, Prince Antonio™ discovers Rosella’s™ South Sea paradise. They fall in love and Rosella™ follows the Prince back to his palace. Together with her animal friends Rosella™ tries to accustom herself to palace life. But not everyone is willing to welcome her there. An evil queen seeks to marry her own daughter to Prince Antonio™ and wants to seize power of his kingdom. Rosella™ unveils her conspiracy and averts calamity with the help of her friend. Of course, everything turns out right as love and friendship are stronger than greed. In the end, they celebrate a wonderful wedding and Rosella even recovers her mother.
