IFL Science teams with One Tree Planted

Licensing Link Europe has announced a campaign, instigated by Louis Kennedy, for the IFLScience brand, with SHO, to launch two limited edition designs of their stainless steel reusable bottles. Ten per cent of the sales of the new SHO lines will be donated to One Tree Planted – a 501(c)(3) environmental nonprofit dedicated to global reforestation.

The activity, which is set to launch in time for Earth Month in April 2020, will be promoted via IFLScience, One Tree Planted and SHO’s social media channels. Consumers will be invited to post a photo of their limited edition SHO Bottle, which will be available to buy online, to social media using #IFLearthmonth. For each photo posted, IFLScience will donate the funds for a further tree to be planted by One Tree Planted.

IFLScience is the world’s leading science site and has in excess of 25 million Facebook followers and a reach of over 100 million. The company’s mission is not only to educate but entertain the audience, giving a deeper approach to science and encourage them to learn more.

Chris Taday, Director, Licensing Link, who brokered the deal alongside Louis Kennedy, comments: “This trio of brands each has sustainability and the natural world at the core of their business. Bringing them together for the campaign during Earth Month, will help to leverage each of their efforts. The environment is a key focus of education for IFLScience and the campaign will help to further inform its users about the importance of reducing waste and creating eco-friendly alternatives.”

Michele Kuprewicz, Head of Retail and Licensing, IFLScience, added: “We’re thrilled to be working with like-minded organisations like SHO and One Tree Planted to make a positive difference to the environment. The campaign is perfectly aligned with our mission at IFLS and we’re looking forward to seeing the benefits the limited-edition bottles can bring about.”

SHO was founded in 2014 with a mission of ensuring every human on planet earth uses reusable products rather than single-use items.
