BRANDORA Editorial Staff - October 2019Winsing property will appear at prestigious competition highlighting new kids’ TV projects
Winsing, a leading Chinese animation company for over 15 years, has announced that a spinoff of Gogo Bus, its new preschool animated property, has been selected to appear at the MIPJunior Project Pitch. Gogo Bus & Team Steam will appear on the platform, which highlights new kids’ TV projects with the greatest potential for commissioning and multiplatform extension.
Taking place on 13 October from 2.45 – 4.00 in the JW Marriott Grand Theatre, the MIPJunior Project Pitch is dedicated to creators and producers seeking financing for projects in development. The competition offers high visibility in front of a jury of leading decision-makers from the global kids’ entertainment industry. Gogo Bus & Team Steam is part of a final shortlist of five at one of the most awaited sessions at MIPJunior.
Seasons 3 and 4 of Gogo Bus are on their way in China and continue the adventures of the children in a beautiful coastal town, learning and playing in Sunshine Forest Kindergarten. To keep the children safe, the kindergarten owner builds the world's first artificial intelligence school bus. The name of the bus is Gordon. Whenever the children have problems, Gordon transforms into different vehicles – such as a fire engine, an ambulance, a police car, an aircraft or a salvage vehicle – to help them.
Gogo Bus & Team Steam (104 x 15’) introduces the daring rescues and exciting adventures of Team Steam. Living on an island filled with innovative new technologies, natural phenomena, and all manner of wildlife, our intrepid team is ready to respond to any emergency. How do they do it? By combining knowledge, ingenuity, teamwork – and a little help from their fabulous friend: Gogo Bus!
A new approach to edutainment, combining social and emotional learning (SEL) and a lovable supporting cast with an exciting central character, Gogo Bus has already been a big hit in its domestic market, and enjoyed a strong performance at retail.
The educational aspect is also a strong theme of the brand, focusing on innovative applied teaching methods rather than traditional formal teaching styles.
Taking place from 12-13 October in Cannes, directly before MIPCOM, MIPJunior gathers the most influential buyers, commissioners, producers, development executives and distributors from the global kids’ TV industry for two targeted days of networking, pitching, matchmaking, conferences and content discovery.
Echo Gu, Vice President of Winsing Animation, says: “Gogo Bus has been a big success in its home market and the arrival of Team Steam will bring a whole new dimension to the brand. We’re very excited about Gogo Bus & Team Steam– and we’re sure that the jury at the MIPJunior Project Pitch will be excited too!”
