BERNARD THE BEAR - THE LATEST FASHION IN GLOBAL LICENSING

WB Compagnie successfully presents its first samples at the Nuremberg Toy Fair

At the Nuremberg Toy Fair which has just ended, the results of its licensing activities could not have been more positive for BRB Internacional.
The German WB Compagnie’s stand featured the first appearance of toys – plush toys and related accessories – based on the likeable bear that stars in the television series currently showing on top TV stations around the world.
By giving away keyrings and lanyards for mobile phones, Bernard has made a big impression in the world of international licensing, as evidenced at the current New York Toy Fair where BRB has been presenting the latest developments surrounding the property.

Also in Germany, Mohn Media Kalonder & Promotion Service has bought the rights to Bernard in order to develop an attractive range of postcards and calendars. In Italy , Seven S.P.A. has designed an original stationery line based on the hero of the series. Their range of diaries, paper bags, notebooks, writing pads, pencil cases and labels has already been launched at PaperWorld in Frankfurt at the end of January. In France, Evasion Comunicacion is preparing its first Bernard fancy dress, while Prime is developing a special collection of decorative items for food products.

The first winner of the prestigious MIPCOM JR Licensing Challenge, Bernard is the main character in a hilarious 3D animation series of 52 episodes (each one a short sketch) co-produced by BRB, Screen 21, EBS, M6 and RG. After its worldwide success – the TV Series Bernard has been sold in over 60 countries – BRB is now in the process of producing a second series, which will give a significantly longer lifespan to products featuring the unusual bear.
