Naruto™ Roadshow. We tell you how it went!

The Licensing Machine - January 2007

We really had fun!

The day started even earlier than expected and around 10:30 a.m. the first youngsters and children were already snooping around in the yard of S. Margherita Palace where the Mattel point and the Niinja arts roleplay corner were a point of reference throughout the whole day. Amongst the first ones to turn up, there was the German fourteen year-old fan of Naruto™ that thanks to initiative of RTLII – the TV channel that air the show in Germany – could attend the first Naruto™ day. All the participants to the activities (from the drawing of graffiti to the creation of the Naruto outfit, the memory game with the Panini trading cards and the official tournament of Bandai play cards) received at the prize corner DVDs, videogames of the TV series, t-shirts, posters, Naruto™ toys, Panini cards and even more! Common denominator of the day was the search and “chase” of the Naruto head band that was worn by the staff.

In the afternoon, after the competition “personalize your back pack drawing your favourite Naruto™ character (and we discovered real talents!) the Italian actors of the TV show created a nice “ event inside the event” playing a live scene from the series and gathering around them a small crowd of fans and non.

In the evening, the Japanese way, sitting on the floor legs crossed in front of the big screen showing new Naruto™ episodes, people enjoyed sushi and Japanese tea. At the end of the day music and some relax: just what everybody needed after such a full and “crazy” day!

We’ll be waiting for you at the next stops of the Naruto™ Roadshow, in Germany too!
