Stamps with Love from Snoopy and the Peanuts

Team! Licensing - March 2018

For the first time the German federal ministry of finances is issuing to postage stamps with Peanuts. Snoopy, Woodstock, and their friends are available since the first of March. The print run is of a high multi-million volume. Two postage stamps of the Deutsche Post are now available.

“Mail for Snoopy”: Snoopy and Woodstock, the most popular Characters of the Peanuts Gang, are the stars of the new 70 Cent stamp, appropriate for the standard national letter. The amusing and lovable stamp depicts Woodstock delivering his friend Snoopy a love letter. The 90 Cent stamp for international mailings shows all relevant main charakters of the Peanuts gang. The motive “The Peanuts Racals” shows the characters in lively action.

The Peanuts Program of the German postal service features in addition to the stamps also a collectable presentation sheet of both stamps, a set of decorated Letters and greeting cards. The newly released range is being complemented by beautifully detailed Peanuts branded DHL pack sets. The charming designs will make shipping of parcels a unique experience.

„Few classic entertainment brands have the relevance and impact on social culture, to become official stamps of Germany.” says Katarina Dietrich. “That Snoopy and Peanuts were chosen and realized by the Deutsche Post and the Bundesministerium der Finanzen (Ministry of Finances) is in our opinion an invaluable honor.“

Jean Schulz, the widow of the Peanuts creator and artist Charles M. Schulz prepared a video message especially for this unusual occasion. First released was the video during the unveiling of the two new stamps on the 1st of March 2018 in the Post Tower at Bonn. The screening met with great enthusiasm.
