Spain’s Clan TV Set To Screen Masha And The Bear

Yet another broadcaster has signed up for Masha and the Bear – the hit 3D family animation from Animaccord. Clan TV, Spain’s leading animation channel, will now screen seasons 1 and 2 of the show.

This adds to the show’s massive TV presence, which spans nearly every country in the world. Other deals recently brokered by Ink Group, which represents Masha and the Bear across the Europe, MENA and Turkey, include the Danish Broadcasting Corporation purchasing Masha and the Bear Season 2, PTS (Free TV) and MOMO TV picking up Season 2 in Taiwan, and ANTV buying Season 3 for broadcast across Indonesia. In Italy, both De Agostini and RAI (Italy's national public broadcasting company) have snapped up Season 3 and spin-off show Masha’s Spooky Stories. In France, Canal Plus and France TV have taken Masha’s Spooky Stories and Season 3 respectively, whilst in Poland Puls TV is on board for Masha’s Spooky Stories.

"Clan TV is the best broadcaster we could have in Spain for Masha so we are delighted to team up with them and we are sure this will boost the whole licensing program,“ says Jordi Rey, CEO Biplano Licensing, the sub-agent of INK Group for licensing in Iberia and France.

Vladimir Gorbulya - Head of Licensing at Animaccord comments: “It is a privilege to start our collaboration with the leading kids’ channel in Spain. We are confident that this will be a successful partnership. Many thanks to everyone who participated to make this happen.”

Adds INK Group Managing Partner Claus Tømming. “The success Masha and the Bear has enjoyed in just a few years is nothing short of phenomenal. It’s gone from screening solely in Russia to become one of world’s hottest kids’ shows, which is testament to the extraordinary strength and quality of scripts, animation and production.”
