About Insectibles:
The series tells about the adventures of 12-year-old Zak, his quirky grandpa Gramps, and their three biomechanically enhanced insect friends. Together they set off to search for parts of the “Micronator” – a wacky invention that had accidentally shrunk both heroes just before it exploded during the test phase. Will they be able to find the missing pieces and repair the Micronator? All the while they are trying to escape the mad mosquito, his two-faced daughters and a large crowd of evil subjects! Zak faces the adventure of his lifetime – in his own backyard!
Insectibles is a 3D, fully HD CG-animated adventure comedy TV series for children aged between six and nine. The show is produced by One Animation and co-produced by ZDF Enterprises and KiKA. The first season of this high-quality adventure is comprised of 52 x 11 minutes episodes.
The TV show made its successful debut on KiKA at prime time on 1st April 2017. Afterwards, the series aired daily Mondays to Sundays at 7 pm. A re-run was scheduled for 12:45 on KiKA each day. The Edel:Kids’ release of the original audio plays and DVDs to the show on 7 April 2017 fit nicely into the presentation of the new format. A large-scale marketing campaign for print and online media that will be launched in close cooperation with licensing partners like Blue Ocean (magazines) is already in the pipeline. Additional releases follow in summer 2017. |
