ZDF Enterprises announces a new sales deal with long standing partner France TV for French-speaking territories. France TV pre-bought several top-class programs from ZDFE.factual’s core areas Science and History: The pre-buy “Apocalypse Neanderthal” (2 x 50’, produced by Story House Productions and C-Tales Entertainment in association with ZDF Enterprises, History® and History TV) investigates why Neanderthals were extinct although recent genetic and archaeological discoveries have proven that they were cultured, technologically savvy and more like us than we ever imagined!
Also pre-bought was “How Climate Made History” (2 x50’, produced by Story House Productions for ZDF and ZDF Enterprises), which takes a fresh look at human history in the light of Earth’s volatile climate – a gripping narrative that explores little-known connections between the Earth’s climate and major historical events.
The series “The Ascent of Civilization” (3 x 50’, produced by Gruppe 5 Filmproduktion for ZDF and ZDF Enterprises) questions the myths and unravels age-old clichés about ancient cultures. What were the Vikings really like? What did the Romans accomplish? And do the singular achievements of the ancient Greeks live on in us today?
Finally, the German-Polish two-parter “The Invasion: The Outbreak of World War II” (2 x 50’, produced by ZDF in an historical collaboration with TVP Poland) reconstructs how Hitler triggered a chain of events that sparked a global conflagration and depicts the intense suffering of the Polish people, the first victims of the war. |
