Mermaid Success Story: More Than 75,000 Alea Aquarius Books Sold So Far

Oetinger secures cooperation with the official magazine to the ZDF show “H2O: Just Add Water”

 

Oetinger is happy about the success of Tanya Stewners mermaid series “Alea Aquarius” series. More than 75,000 books have been sold since July 2015; 50,000 copies of the first volume “Alea Aquarius. Der Ruf des Wassers” alone. Due to the overwhelming success, Oetinger released the second volume “Alea Aquarius. Die Farben des Meeres” in January 2016; 25,000 copies of which have been sold so far.

Tanya Stewner tells the story of Alea, who suddenly discovers that she is a mermaid. Together with Lennox and the members of Alpha Cru Alea tries to uncover her secret. The sequel of the adventure series for girls aged 10+ is scheduled for release in spring 2017 under the title “Alea Aquarius. Das Geheimnis der Ozeane”. The audio books narrated by Laura Maire are part of the Oetinger audio range.

The ZDF hit show “H2O – Plötzlich Meerjungfrau” (H2O: Just Add Water) tells about three friends that suddenly turn into mermaids, when they come into contact with water. The latest edition of the official magazine to the show comes with a sample chapter of “Alea Aquarius” and a competition, organised in cooperation with Visit Berlin. The winner receives a family weekend in Berlin, including a one-night’s stay, and a visit to Europe’s largest show aquarium “Berlin Aquarium”. Deadline for entries is 30 June 2016.
