ZDF Enterprises enters into partnership with YouTube marketing platform HitchOn

The YouTube marketing platform HitchOn has entered into a partnership with ZDF Enterprises, effective immediately, and in doing so, connects the commercial daughter of the ZDF channel to the innovative ideas of talented YouTube and social media stars.

HitchOn is the world's first marketing platform that not only allows YouTube stars to answer requests from companies, but to also announce creative, innovative and unusual concepts and project ideas themselves.

"YouTube plays an important role in our digital strategy. YouTube stars can pitch their ideas to us directly using HitchOn. This gives us the opportunity to gain early access to web-only formats and cross-media ideas, to invest in new formats and to promote new talent," explains Alexander Coridass, President and CEO of ZDF Enterprises. "The partnership with HitchOn is an important element of our digital strategy and will open new opportunities for cooperation for both our corporate group and our business partners."

The start-up HitchOn was founded by Sarah Kübler at the beginning of 2015. Sarah Kübler has been active on the YouTube scene herself for a number of years and also has years of experience in the TV sector, first as a producer and later as Manager Digital Channels at ZDF Enterprises.

Along with the 500 plus YouTubers and over 150 business clients who have already signed up, the current three-person team at HitchOn is focused on identifying all cooperations with brand partners in a transparent and fair manner. All parties participating in the platform are also required to adhere to this identification policy. This will make HitchOn particularly attractive for companies who place value on a brand-secure environment.
