The Retailer Joins Other Fashion Luminaries Including Bershka, Primark, Iceberg, H&M and Lazy Oaf in Harnessing the Funny Personalities, Universal Appeal and Strong Visual Imagery of the Looney Tunes

Warner Bros Consumer Products is celebrating the success of Looney Tunes across a variety of fashion houses. Crazy with colour and oozing with style, the Looney Tunes characters are proving a powerful and enduring inspiration for fashion industry partners, thanks to their successful blend of high-octane fun and classic appeal.

Forever 21, Bershka, Zara, Primark, Iceberg, H&M and Lazy Oaf are among the fashion leaders that have flexed their cool credentials with the help of Looney Tunes (and other Warner Bros. classic animation characters including Scooby-Doo and Tom and Jerry) and have shown how these classic characters strike a perfect pose with consumers at all retail channels.

We’re thrilled with the way Looney Tunes has lent itself to so many fashion applications. Designers are using the characters’ iconic looks and unmistakable personalities to create ranges that are fun and of the moment,” said Emanuela Tartari, Director, Apparel, Accessories, Housewares and Domestics, Warner Bros Consumer Products EMEA. “Looney Tunes is a global pop culture brand that can connect with all demographics and retail channels through distinct creative programmes. They are also a huge hit for seasonal ranges like Valentine’s.

Exemplifying the hit combination of trends and toons, Bershka’s range, for example, takes Looney Tunes beyond jersey and t-shirts into a full denim range. Additionally, other designers are combining the iconic cartoon outlines with vintage photography. In the US and UK, Forever 21 has launched its first adult apparel line based on Warner Bros.’ classic characters. To accompany the launch, Forever 21 has produced a fashion video in which a model wearing the new apparel is immersed into the world of WB classic animation.

WBCP is paving the way for more impactful fashion partnerships for Looney Tunes and other Warner Bros. classic animation brands in 2015 and 2016. The Looney Tunes now boast more than 1000 licensees worldwide.
