Sales for Minecraft Blockopedia have got off to a promising start with Nielsen reporting over 16 thousand volume sales in the first three days and nearly 38 thousand copies sold in ten days since publication.

Blockopedia launched on the 4th December and follows Egmont’s hugely successful publishing range of Minecraft handbooks, sales of which continue to grow and are on sale in over 40 countries and have been printed in 25 different languages. Egmont’s total Minecraft book sales now report an RSV of £11.8 million since they began publishing in October 2013.

Cally Poplak, Managing Director, Egmont Publishing commented: 'Children are passionate about Minecraft - that's not news. It's time to celebrate the fact that they covet beautifully produced, brilliantly written, edited and designed books like our Minecraft range, too. Games and books can co-exist quite wonderfully in the world of a child. There's a lot to be excited about in Children's Books at the moment.'

Presented in a ground-breaking format – a hexagonal book – Blockopedia contains everything you need to know to make the most of the blocks that make up the Minecraft world. It’s a beautiful and comprehensive reference tool for beginners and more experienced players alike.
