On 5 November the day has finally come: The all new 3D animated TV series starts airing prime time in Germany – at 6.40 pm on KIKA. The story of a loveable hero – the Rusty Knight from Scrapland – is a real success story. Eversince his first book hit the market back in 1994, he has sold more than 1 million books so far. And every year more than 600 Rusty Knight Musicals go on stage in Germany. In 2011 Caligari acquired the rights to produce a feature film and TV series to accompany the little hero. In January 2013 the Rusty Knight made his debut in German theatres with “Ritter Rost – Eisenhart und voll verbeult”. More than 700000 people have watched the film to date. Parallel to the movie, Caligari has started to develop the TV show “Ritter Rost”. On 5 November the day has finally come: The adventures of the Rusty Knight, Damsel Bö and little Koks the Dragon set of to conquer the TV landscape in Germany. Soon children may enjoy the adventures from Scrapland at prime time every day. KIKA airs 26 x 12’ episodes.
