DHX Media, a leading independent producer, distributor and licensor of mainly children’s entertainment content, has secured a host of new deals across multiple platforms in Canada.

The everyday hero, Caillou continues to be successful on French-language educational channel TFO, and the broadcaster has renewed its agreement for seasons 1-4 of the perennial favorite as well as exclusive rights for season 5 of the series.

In digital news, TELUS Communications has secured SVOD rights to a raft of DHX Media properties including Angela Anaconda, Bo on the Go and Adventures of Paddington Bear for French-speaking Canada and Knowledge West has also picked up a package of DHX Media’s kids’ titles.

Rogers Media has picked up linear rights to air key DHX Media properties on City Saskatchewan for its daytime, pre-school, educational programming block, including Franny’s Feet (Season 1 and 2), Zoboomafoo (Season 2), Busy World of Richard Scarry (Season 1 – 5), and Adventures of Paddington Bear (Season 1 – 3).

Thom Chapman, Territory Manager at DHX Media, says: “Canada remains a key territory for DHX Media and these deals highlight the appeal of our properties across traditional and digital platforms and with both English and French-speaking audiences.”
