Entertainment One’s (eOne) Peppa Pig will be given a boost later this year as the live stage show prepares to go global. Fiery Light’s touring Peppa Pig stage show will touch down in venues across Australia, the USA and Canada from 2013-2015, marking the brand’s entrance into live events in these territories.

Fiery Light, the London based production company behind the successful screen to stage adaptations, will be taking its production of Peppa Pig’s Treasure Hunt to Australia this year. The show will open to audiences in Melbourne from October and will be co-produced by Life Like Touring, which is the nation’s foremost producer of children’s live entertainment. Venues have already been booked for the major city tour scheduled for 2013 including a run at the prestigious Sydney Opera House.

A highly anticipated US tour will follow in late 2014 when Peppa Pig’s Big Splash premieres in New York before embarking on an extensive tour across the USA and Canada through to 2015.

The international tour aims to follow in the footsteps of Peppa’s incredibly successful UK stage show, which is now about to embark on its third production and has so far played to 650,000 people.

Andrew Carley, Head of Global Licensing at Entertainment One comments, “Securing a run for Peppa Pig at the Sydney Opera House is a major coup for the brand and demonstrates its ability to reach audiences around the world. As licensing builds in North America and Australia the time is perfect to expand into live events and we look forward to extending our partnership with Fiery Light into new territories.”

Martin Ronan, Executive Producer at Fiery Light, said “We’ve been fortunate enough to produce the live ‘Peppa Pig’ show in the UK for the past three years so it’s very exciting to finally get the opportunity to share this fantastic live experience with Peppa fans in Australia and the USA, where the brand is really taking off. We hope parents and children alike will be captivated by the charm of this popular children’s brand as it’s brought to life on stage for the first time.”
