... As Sales Of The First Collection Surpass 1 Million Units In Less Than A Year

Warner Bros. Consumer Products EMEA (WBCP EMEA) is proud to announce that EMTEC, one of Europe’s leading mobile storage solutions and computer peripherals manufacturers, will be launching a second collection of Looney Tunes USB keys. This news follows the hugely successful launch of EMTEC’s first Looney Tunes USB collection that has sold more than 1 million units worldwide in less than a year.

Bruno Schwobthaler, Senior Vice President, Sales and Business Development, Warner Bros. Consumer Products EMEA says, “Computer accessories have quickly become an every day necessity. By allowing consumers the choice of a variety of iconic characters, each with a very different personality, EMTEC has introduced a humorous and personal element to what is essentially a functional product. With sales of the first collection exceeding 1 million units, we’re delighted to be working with EMTEC on the introduction of the new characters and we’re confident that the sales success can be replicated.”

Perhaps the funniest and most original accessories for file storage, four new character designs will be joining EMTEC’s best selling Looney Tunes flash drive family including Daffy Duck, Bugs Bunny, Yosemite Sam and Marvin the Martian. The USB keys have a capacity of 8GB, a high read speed of up to 15MB/s and a write speed of 5MB/s. Each key is very small with no character measuring more than 50mm in height and the unique design means that the USB cap holder can fix directly to the USB drive that avoids losing the character body when the key is plugged in.

Henri Vignat, EMTEC Director says, “Adapting some of the world’s most loved animated characters into innovative flash drives that embody their individual charm and unique characteristics has been an exciting challenge for the designers and product managers here at EMTEC. By working closely with the team at Warner Bros. and by following a dedicated process that has included preliminary sketches, mock-up samples, fine-tuning rounds and multiple validation stages, we have produced an amazing range, sold more than 1 million units and cemented our position as the market leader of licensed flash drives.”
