Licensing@Russia Sets A Date For 2013!

Licensing@Russia - June 2012

Following on from the recent Licensing@Russia show – the first ever international licensing industry show and conference to be held in Russia – the organisers have announced dates for next year, with the show set to take place from the 12th to the 14th of March 2013 in Moscow.

The announcement comes on the back of a hugely successful debut event, where delegates from both the Russian and international licensing communities enjoyed a packed programme of events and a keynote speech by the president of LIMA, Charles M. Riotto, who spoke about how Russia will make a significant contribution to the worldwide licensing industry in years to come. Other prominent speakers included Leigh Ann Brodsky, Philippe Guinaudeau, Danny Simon, Gregory J. Battersby, Ilya Popov and Adam Berg.

The strength and variety of companies that were involved with the show and conference was an indication of just how seriously Licensing@Russia is taken by the global licensing community. In total, over 20 major international and Russian property owners representing over 350 brands participated, including big names such as The Walt Disney Company CIS LLC, Dreamworks, Hasbro, Turner CN Enterprises, Warner Bros., Nike, Megalicense, Art & Design RU, Carmen Ariza Licensing, Studio 100, Entertainment One, Black & White Licensing/JELC, PJB Brands, Vipoland, Crazy Birds, All Media, Endemol, Fremantle Media, CBA, Sanrio (Hello Kitty),The Beanstalk Group, MONDO TV, Beverly Hills Polo Club and The Bella Sara Company. Riki Nickelodeon were a general partner for 2012 and Plus Licens, European Licensing Company and RIO Licensing were partners of Licensing@Russia 2012. Media and communication partners included Total Licensing magazine, Guide to The Licensing World, BRANDORA and Licensing Vestnik, whilst LIMA was the official education provider. “Licensing@Russia was a groundbreaking event for Russia - it had never been done before so it was really a case of testing the water,” says Zeljko William Krnjak, official LIMA Representative in New Europe and one of the event organisers. “However, it completely surpassed even our expectations – both in terms of the number and quality of visitors and exhibitors and the hugely positive feedback we received afterwards. Licensing@Russia is now an important fixture in the licensing calendar so it was vital for us to announce 2013 dates as soon as possible and start organising this next event!”
