Turner Broadcasting Systems (TBS) Arabia has announced it will be a Gold Sponsor at the fourth annual Dubai International Character and Licensing Fair – (Character Dubai), taking place on November 30 – December 3. The sponsorship marks the second year TBS Arabia has supported the Middle East's largest licensing marketplace – Turner will be exhibiting under the remit of Turner CN Enterprises the licensing and merchandising arm of the business across EMEA.

Turner Broadcasting Systems’ support of the region’s largest content and licensing fair is both in recognition of the importance of being fully-immersed in the Middle Eastern market at such an exciting time for the region while celebrating the success of Cartoon Network Arabic since its launch across MENA in October 2010. The free-to-air fully-Arabic channel – showcasing cartoons such as Ben 10, Powerpuff Girls, Dexter’s Laboratory, Generator Rex, Adventure Time, The Amazing World of Gumball and the very popular locally-produced show Skatoony, across the MENA region – has enjoyed great success and popularity within the linear TV and Digital media space, which has impacted positively on the licensing business.

"The Middle East is a key growth market and The Dubai International Character and Licensing Fair is an invaluable platform for Turner CN Enterprises to showcase its properties and forge business relationships with new licensing partners in the region. As Turner’s portfolio of properties continues to grow especially with the recent acquisition of Latibaer which owns and operates the LazyTown brand, we’re looking forward to developing new conversations at Character Dubai. We’ve already seen great interest in our recently launched girls’ properties, Zoobles™ and Puppy in my Pocket and are looking to expand on our success with our live business partnerships,” said Christian Zeidler, Turner CN Enterprises Territory Manager for the Middle East.

“Our participation at the fair highlights TBS’ commitment to the region and is a testament to the importance of delivering high-quality entertainment and developing new commercial and licensing partnerships,” said Alan Musa, Vice President and General Manager, Pan Middle East and Africa. “We’re looking forward to welcoming our partners and consumers to the show.”

Character Dubai showcases a diverse collection of properties and brands and allows trade partners to build relationships, get previews of the newest licensing and merchandising programs and make deals. In addition, Character Dubai is open to the public on the December 2 and 3, allowing consumers to interact with their favorite brands, giving them a chance to see exclusive views of upcoming launches.

Alan Musa and Christian Zeidler will both be on-site in Dubai representing Turner at the forthcoming Dubai International Character and Licensing Fair (Arena Hall, Stand no. A-501).
