FME is building on the success of its partnership with Stardoll in the US, which launched in August this year with a design contest offering one lucky winner the chance to have a virtually created design sold offline as part of an upcoming Rebecca Bonbon apparel line available through Kmart. The US Rebecca Bonbon club has so far attracted over 125,000 new members. Mark Newton, FME’s EVP Licensing EMEA, commented, “The popularity of the Rebecca Bonbon brand is growing rapidly throughout Europe, supported by an ever increasing number of licensees and products at retail. As the world’s most stylish French Bulldog, Rebecca Bonbon makes a natural partner for Stardoll and the site is the perfect platform for us to continue building awareness of the brand among the site’s target demographic of tween and teen girls.” Stardoll, which launched in 2006, has more than 130 million registered users globally and reaches over 18 million unique users per month. Chris Seth, Stardoll Media EVP & GM, commented “We are super excited to be extending our partnership with FME across Europe. The animated response from our US community to the arrival of Rebecca Bonbon on Stardoll confirms our earlier hunch: that our two brands are truly a match made in heaven …” Rebecca Bonbon´s character is a French bulldog and super cute fashionista from Paris who currently resides in New York City. FME has exclusively represented Rebecca Bonbon globally (excluding Japan and Korea) on behalf of Crown Creative since 2008. Across EMEA Rebecca Bonbon has more than 25 licensees creating branded products such as apparel, jewellery, bags, stationery, bedding, home decorations and accessories. In the US, FME is in its second year of an extensive girls’ clothing and accessory programme with Kmart. |
