Studio100 Media - October 2011

International children’s production and distribution company Studio100 Media GmbH announced that the award-winning pre-school puppetry series Big and Small (26 x 11’) is back for a third season.

Currently airing daily on CBeebies the brand new episodes are co-produced by Kindle Entertainment and Belfast based Sixteen South Television. Targeted at three to six year olds Big and Small will be distributed internationally by Studio100 Media.

The original creative team behind the show have once again returned for the new series, including three times Emmy-Award winning writer Kathy Waugh (Arthur, Peep and the Big Wide World, Judy Moody), Canadian puppet masters Jason Hopley and Todd Doldersum together with the vocal talent of Lenny Henry who brings great warmth and comedy to both the characters Big and Small.

With a whole raft of new Big and Small adventures set in their house and garden including an episode where they set sail in Big’s boat and another where they climb aboard a rocket for the moon, the 26 new episodes each feature a brand new catchy song based around a different genre of music as in the first two series.

Commenting on the third season, Patrick Elmendorff, Managing Director of Studio100 Media said, “This is a fantastic show full of charm and humor. Once again the Big and Small creative team has produced further episodes of the great series, which we are confident will captivate and delight audiences worldwide”.
