Bulldog Licensing, licensing agent for best-selling collectible Gogo’s Crazy Bones, has announced that a pilot episode of the eagerly awaited Gogo’s animated series is set to screen at MIPCOM in October at stand 16.09.

Gogo’s licensors Magic Box International and PPI Worldwide Group have teamed up with animation specialist Aronnax Animation Studios for the new 3D CGI series, whilst Televix Entertainment will serve as the worldwide distributor. The finished series will consist of 52 x 11min episodes and will be ready in 2012.

The TV show has been borne out of the astonishing popularity of the Gogo’s brand – the toy has already dominated the collectables charts around the world in territories including the US, UK, France, Spain, Germany, Benelux and Aus/NZ with the product also selling in huge numbers in parts of Eastern Europe, the Nordics and Italy.

Gogo’s also enjoys a dominant position in the licensing sector and Bulldog has built up a large and wide-ranging programme across all major territories making the brand one of the Top 125 Licensed Properties in the World. The licensing programme includes publishing, plush, celebration cakes, apparel, greeting cards, stationery, back to school, calendars and giftware. Partners include Random House, Eaglemoss, Winning Moves, SA Greetings, National Entertainment Network, Imagination Games and Poetic Gem.

“With the property increasingly dominant at retail across the world a TV series was the next logical step for Gogo’s Crazy Bones,” says Bulldog MD Rob Corney, “the show will tap into a massive worldwide fanbase and is sure to be a big hit.”
