Turner CN Enterprises Is Making Strides In The Girls Market Signing 20 New Puppy In My Pocket Deals Across EMEA

Turner CN Enterprises is making its presence known in the girls market as it secures licensees to Puppy in my Pocket: Adventure in Pocketville, for which TCNE acts as licensing agent across most EMEA territories.

Following strong ratings across EMEA on Boomerang and Cartoon Network, Turner CN Enterprises has secured 20 licensees to the Puppy in my Pocket licensing programme covering major categories such as apparel, toys, games, stationary and paper goods, publishing, housewares and gifts, audio and music, domestic and linens and food and beverages, with further deals to come. These deals follow the recent partnership with VTech in which the electronic learning firm will make a Puppy in My Pocket: Adventures in Pocketville kids' computer.

The Puppy in my Pocket: Adventures in Pocketville series is a 52x13’ animation aimed at girls aged 5-8 years old. A coproduction by MEG, Giochi Preziosi and Mondo TV, the series follows the global success of the toys brand by the same name from MEG, which ranks among the top 5 brands in the USA with over 150 million figures sold worldwide.

The series is set in the magical world of Pocketville where pets are matched to a child in need of a friend by the beautiful kitty Princess Ava, using the power of her "Heart of friendship” necklace. When Ava is sent to the real world by her meddlesome twin Eva our hero Kate, a young girl, is sent to Pocketville in her place to make sure every pet still finds their child. The series first broadcast in Autumn 2010 in Italy and launched on Boomerang and Cartoon Network in a number of EMEA territories from July 2011, where the show has regularly featured in the top 10 and was no. 2 at launch in the UK and CEE. A number of terrestrial partners are already onboard including Italia 1 and Boing in Italy, Gulli in France and more will be announced.

The new toy line includes an Articulated Kate doll, 3D figurines, soft plush pets and playsets to enable children enter the world of Pocketville. Turner CN Enterprises plans to expand beyond toys into all product lines and will be actively looking for licensing partners at Brand Licensing Europe, taking place at London’s Olympia from 18 - 20th October 2011.
