Today, 2500 Bob the Builder fans descended on London’s O2 Live Quarter to attend ‘Bob’s Big Build’, an interactive event of all things Bob. The event reached full capacity and was hugely oversubscribed with nearly 16,000 people previously registering in a ballot for free tickets.

Arriving at the O2's Live Quarter, guests were greeted by Bob and Wendy and presented with hard hats before embarking on a tour of his world through 10 special activity zones. Families were given the opportunity to experience and play with the newly launched toy range from Character Options, many for the first time, as well as enjoying an advance screening of the new Bob DVD special ‘The Big Dino Dig’ set for release 19 September. Children also took part in challenges and activities along the way that included a scooter track test, wall building, face painters and a live ‘Bob the Builder’ performance.

Jules Heaton, VP Global Brand Management at HIT Entertainment, commented: “We’re delighted that ‘Bob’s Big Build’ has proved such a massive hit with consumers and that the brand continues to have a huge following. Bob’s Big Build was a fantastic opportunity for families to engage with the brand and enjoy all the new and exciting Bob activity that has recently launched such as the Character Options toy range, new live theatre show as well as the forthcoming DVD special. One of HIT’s most popular brands, now broadcast in CGI, Bob the Builder is going from strength to strength and certainly has a bright future ahead.”
