New shapes, new colours – top class classic toys continue a fine tradition Selecta quality toys make the difference
Wood is the perfect material for child-appropriate toys. That’s the reason why Selecta has been relying on this material for more than 40 years now. However, it’s not only the basic material that makes the difference – it’s rather creativity and an intuitive sense of children’s needs and how to respond to their demands.
All new products that hit retail shelves in mid-July reveal how high Selecta sets the bar. What is more, the Bavarian company specialised in wooden toys manufactures most products at their own workshop.

New ideas, new shapes, new colours – naturally in compliance with their usual high quality standards. That summarizes the main features of the Selecta product collection scheduled for release in autumn. Even small items like the new grabbing toy Cubellino with its bite-resistant roll (made of BPA-free silicone) remain true to this motto. Four moving axles linked by colourful sturdy balls and a large rattling ring promote baby’s eye-hand coordination. As a first toy for the very young, Cubellino encourages infants to discover their surrounding through all their senses. |

Another toy developed for the very young is the new Selecta Klingeling. This beautifully designed grabbing toy has a bell inside that rings merrily and keeps popping up in the little peepholes. And if the grabbing toy rolls off ringing its bell, there’s nothing better than crawling after it.
Another cute little duo for grasping and grabbing are the rattling cat Mimi Maunz and her dog-friend Wuffi Wau. Selecta sees two new additions to their broad product portfolio as a funny alternative to all their classic infant toys. Both dog and cat are sturdy companions made of wood and feature many colourful moving elements. Arms and legs are dangling on thick cords and rattle when moved. |

To train children’s motor skills through play, to promote their creativity and power of concentration, Selecta developed two new, sturdy stack-and-screw characters. The size and shape of all parts are specially designed for young hands. Finn Feuerspei is a perky stack-and-screw dragon, whose six sturdy parts – all different in colour, shape and size – pile up on the rod in any possible order. Just screw on the end to secure the middle parts. Cute Mr. Dog works the same way – just stack and screw his colourful body parts and legs on the rod – and Mr. Dog is ready to play!

The six large Sorting Blocks fit together in pairs only - a real challenge for little tinkerers. They try over and over again to find the right combination and playfully train their fine motor skills, size awareness and power of concentration. |
The new Peg Board develops fine motor skills, eye-hand coordination and at the same time increases children’s awareness of colour and size. The new Selecta relaunch of a classic toy comes with 16 pegs in different sizes and bright colours. |

Inspiring and comforting New toys to take along – toys to watch, grab, listen to and understand

Selecta developed new toys for children’s eyes, hands, their ears and thoughts – naturally made of wood, designed with care and clad in bright cheerful colours. The new pendants, the pram chain and the mini trapeze have all it takes to inspire infant’s curiosity and stimulate them to watch, grab, listen and think. Young ones will be fascinated both visually and acoustically by the Klappadu Mini Trapeze’s bright colours, its rattling beads and the big bell. The large ring encourages baby’s first attempts to grab and hold. The two pendants are not only tremendous fun – they can also be pulled back and forth – a perfect mean to train baby’s motor skills! Thanks to the strap the small trapeze (19 x 10 cm) can be safely and easily attached to the handle of a baby carrier, the pram or baby’s cot: pure entertainment and incitation for babies at home and on the go. |
Pia Iah is Selecta’s latest pram chain. The beautiful wooden donkey made of numerous parts stretches across the entire pram width. With her long dangling legs this cheerful companion tempts young babies to reach out and grab; her tinkling bell(y) attracts baby’s attention. Pia Iah definitely is a very special and entertaining companion for Mum’s next relaxing walk. |

The new colourful pendants designed for children aged 1+ display an unmistakable (zodiac) sign of their owner’s birthday. Due to their strap, the twelve cute, colourful zodiac pendants are easy to attach to almost everything. However different the individual character of Cancer, Lion, Libra & co. might be – at Selecta’s all of them have one thing in common: a melodic bell that tinkles unmistakably saying “Here I am!” The new zodiac sign pendants are a perfect little gift. What is more: For excellent presentation Selecta provides an appealing counter display.
