SmileyWorld adds to its back-to-school portfolio

The Smiley Company continues to grow its stationery and back-to-school portfolio by adding another major player to its ever growing licensee list with Herlitz who will join stationery market leaders Cartorama for Italy and Spain and Lannoo Graphics for Benelux and France.

Herlitz, one of Germany’s biggest brands and market leaders of stationery has partnered with the SmileyWorld brand to produce a range of stationery and back to school bags. Aimed at children and tweens aged 9 to 16 years old consists of pens, pads, files, ring-binders, stickers and a whole host of accessories. The range will compromise of a range of graphical prints inspired by SmileyWorld emoticons as well as the SmileyWorld ‘Music Therapy’ theme.

Nicolas Loufrani, (CEO of The Smiley Company) says; “I have been dreaming for years to work with Herlitz as it is one of the biggest and most credible licensees in Europe. They are the definite market leader in German speaking countries which are the only financially stable markets in Europe and a key to our growth.”

Launching this spring, the range will be available throughout Germany as well as Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Czech Republic and Hungary in independent stores, department stores, hypermarkets and other specialized chains.
