Celebrity and influencer families joined PAW Patrol for a prehistoric adventure on Friday 24th July as Paramount Products & Experiences and the Natural History Museum hosted an exclusive VIP celebration event to mark the launch of the PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie pop-up shop at the iconic London Museum in South Kensington ahead of its public opening.
The event welcomed families to step into the world of PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie through a themed shop and activity space inspired by the pups’ latest big-screen adventure. Guests, including Myleene Klass and her son Apollo (pictured), enjoyed a first look at the iconic London museum’s pop-up shop, featuring interactive activities, themed moments and opportunities to explore the brand-new experience and shop PAW Patrol® products before it opens to the public.
The VIP celebration brought together the excitement of PAW Patrol’s latest cinematic adventure with the Natural History Museum’s world-famous dinosaur collections, creating a unique family experience which will be open to public throughout the summer holidays and launches ahead of the film’s UK cinema release on 5 August.
“PAW Patrol resonates with families all over the world, and PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie expands that world in a way that feels fresh, playful and full of discovery, with all the excitement of a big summer release. Our collaboration with the Natural History Museum creates a journey that goes beyond the screen, connecting fans with the world of the film through storytelling, retail and the kind of hands-on adventure that makes the brand so beloved” said Ruth Henriquez, Vice President of Products & Experiences, Paramount EMEA.
Claire Bevan, Head of Retail and Customer Contact at the Natural History Museum, said: “We are so excited to see the delight and wonder our collaboration with the PAW Patrol brand will hopefully bring to its young fans this summer. At the Museum, we’re committed to creating advocates for the planet, and of course we’re famous across the world for dinosaurs! Fictional franchises can provide a brilliant gateway for curious minds to learn more about the natural world, and we know that PAW Patrol holds a very special place in the enquiring minds of little ones too, so this crossover really is the perfect summer adventure.”
In the upcoming film, produced by Spin Master Entertainment and distributed by Paramount, the PAW Patrol pups land on an uncharted tropical island filled with dinosaurs after their ship gets caught in a mysterious storm. They soon befriend Rex, a pup who’s been stranded on the island for years and has become an expert in all things dino-related. When Mayor Humdinger’s mining plans cause a huge volcano to erupt, the pups spring into action to save Rex’s home before everything becomes extinct.
