The initial focus will be to expand the evergreen property Sherlock Holmes along with the key characters & IP incl Dr Watson, Moriarty, Irene Adler, Hound of the Baskervilles, Professor Challenger along with the author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle property as well.
Big Picture Licensing will support the Conan Doyle Estate to develop new style guides, logos for 4-quadrant target groups: Kids, Young Adult / Kidult, Heritage and Anime / Gaming to help drive the IP portfolio into new licensee deals across consumer products, LBE and Media into retail sales and experiential opportunities for consumers around the world building up to the 100th Anniversary milestone of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in 2030. Big Picture Licensing will find and secure innovative new licensing partners across the UK, EMEA and multi-territories and all product categories for commercial opportunities for the universally well-loved Sherlock Holmes as the lead property, before expanding into the rest of the IP portfolio.
Welcome to The Conan Doyle Estate – Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was a legend in his own-right, a prolific author, a sportsman, an explorer, a friend of Houdini, US Presidents, British Royalty and Prime Ministers. Most famous for the creation of the quintessentially British icon and the world’s favourite detectives; Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson. First published in 1887, the Sherlock Holmes canon ran until the final story in 1927 just before the author’s death in 1930. Alongside Sherlock, the other notable IP in the Estates portfolio includes Professor Challenger, an adventurer and explorer who was first introduced to the public in the book The Lost World. The Conan Doyle Estates portfolio is ripe with IP that can be exploited across Media Content, Licensing and LBE opportunities. The Estate has over 350 Trademarks in place across all key Classes to protect the IP and enable it to develop a full licensing program.
