On 18 March the new action adventure film “Tomb Raider” is released to German theatres. The film is based upon the worldwide successful reboot of the computer game Tomb Raider from 2013 which has been sold more than 18 million times. The story tells about world-famous archaeologist and treasure hunter Lara Croft who is represented by Oscar-winning Alicia Vikander. Director is Roar Uthaug.
Seven years ago Lara’s father, Lord Richard Croft, disappeared without a trace. She herself lives as a student and bicycle courier in London until one day she decides to investigate the alleged murder of her father. She sets off on an adventurous hunt and ends up at a mystical island far beyond the Japanese coastline. But she is not the only one following this lead …
Tomb Raider has become a successful franchise within the last years and now the new movie will continue this success story.
