Major industrial hub and cultural centre highlights animation company’s success

Winsing has been listed in the Top 50 Guangzhou Cultural Enterprises, a list that reflects the strength of the cultural industry in this major industrial hub, where it is one of the fastest-growing and strongest-performing sectors.

The list was jointly compiled by Southern Daily, the region’s major daily newspaper, Guangzhou Academy of Social Sciences and Guangzhou Cultural Creative Industry Association.

Based on original 3D animated content production, Winsing Animation operates a business chain including content production and distribution, merchandising and licensing, stage shows and theme parks. With over 30 years of experience in the cultural industry, Winsing is committed to providing high-quality entertainment products and services around the world. Through its biggest hit, GG Bond, Winsing has signed nearly 100 licensing partners to date. The annual retail market value of GG Bond now exceeds RMB4 billion (about $600 million).

Guangzhou is the capital and most populous city of the province of Guangdong in southern China. It is a major port and transportation hub, as well as one of China's three largest cities and one of the most prosperous cities in the country.

From 2012 to 2017, the city’s cultural industry has grown at an average annual rate of about 13 per cent, well above overall GDP growth. Winsing is headquartered in this region.

Winsing is a major player, not just in Guangdong but in the Chinese market as a whole, with a fast-expanding overseas market, led by sales of such popular series as GG Bond, GOGO BUS, Crazy Candies and Doby & Disy.
