Bright Group International opens global offices and launches new website

UK-based art agency Bright Group International (BGI) has announced details of expansion that has seen it open new satellite offices in South Korea and Australia, adding to existing bases in London and New York, and launch a brand new website at www.brightgroupinternational.com

BGI represents artists, writers and brands across a range of different product sectors, from publishing to greetings, and the expansion consolidates its position as the first globally recognised art and creative agency. The New York office opened in May 2010 and success there has led BGI to invest in further expansion. Five new members of specialist staff have been recruited to handle the increased workload, which has seen the agency take on forty artists from new global territories, with productivity increasing by 50%.

“The benefits of this expansion are twofold,” explains BGI MD Vicki Willden-Lebrecht, “firstly it puts us on the ground in new territories and lets us tap into the wealth of creative talent that exists there and secondly it provides new outlets for our existing artists. Finding opportunities in new territories presents a wonderful opening for an artist to expand without cannibalising core income in their home market. Expansion will also help us build our artists into globally recognised talents, which will compliment and boost their work in the UK.”

“Our expansion has very much been an organic process and is a case of us adapting to circumstances - in a constricting economy we all have to think creatively to build opportunities within our sector. After making the decision to open in New York and enjoying success there one thing has led to another and it’s been a natural progression for us to build an agency that works globally. It is important for any artist that the agency representing them should explore all opportunities and to us that means broadening our horizons across the world and making sure we are mindful of the global economic situation and reacting and working within that. We are now aiming to make the world a global village in terms of artist and writer representation and are determined not to be restricted by distance or language.”

The new website is another development for the growing agency – each section of BGI has its own very own web presence to give that sector of the industry the attention it deserves, and these specialist sites will continue to operate. However, the brand new home page provides an interactive resource where clients can easily and conveniently browse between BGI’s sites, services and offerings using one dedicated portal.
