Using heads and brains

HUCH & friends - June 2014

Eyes at the back of their head and fangs at their forehead: The “Mad Hedz” become crazier with every turn. For the new puzzle game by HUCH! & friends the monster heads pull always new gruesome faces. You need patience, concentration and logical thinking to put them straight again.

Brain Biter, Scartooth and Horn Crusher: The Mad Hedz are available in three different variants that all work according to the same principle. First of all, mess up the heads. If you have achieved the desired level of disarrangement, you may start to rack your brain. The monsters’ heads are made of eight different pieces that slide against each other. With each turn players twist either the left side against the right or the upper half against the lower part of the head.

To solve the Mad Hedz it is not enough to bring pieces into the right position. Even the alignment has to be correct. Otherwise Brain Biter has a lopsided grin, Scartooth wears his headphones in the middle of his face and Horn Crusher gets his horn stuck up his own nose.

Mad Hedz are classic puzzle fun in modern design. Solving the gruesome heads promotes perseverance, spatial visualization and the power of deduction. Their handy format and sturdy design make the Mad Hedz a perfect travel game.
