Visitors selected the educational game of the year at the Toy Fair in Stuttgart

The game BONK by Game Factory has been awarded the title “Best Educational Game of the Year 2018” at the end of the Toy Fair in Stuttgart. On the fair young and not-so-young visitors tested games that had been nominated by the magazine Familie & Co. Doing so they focused on the aspects fun, educational effect, and appearance. Bonk appealed to everyone and “scored highly with families” said Kerstin Heim, project manager of the toy fair.

It is a combination of dexterity, tactics and speed that appeals to young and old alike. Even losing is still fun. The beautiful wooden BONK challenges two teams of two. The objective of the game: Roll your steel balls down your slide in order to knock the wooden ball in the central arena into your opponents’ goal. And just like at football, you have to try to protect your goal. Action is guaranteed as everyone plays at the same time and you have to control your slide while simultaneously protecting your goal. BONK demands for a keen eye, precise timing, and effective teamwork. Great fun is guaranteed for any party and board games night.

The new darling of the public by Dave Harvey is suited for two to four players aged 8+ and available at a SRP of app. 65 euros. The game has already been nominated for the innoSPIEL 2018 award at the Spiel 18 in Essen, world’s leading consumer show for board games. It focusses on quality and innovative play mechanisms.
